First Look at CHRIS CORNELL Sculpture Set To Be On Display in Seattle

RIP Chris Cornell.

RIP Chris Cornell.

On Friday, we learned that a sculpture of Seattle rock legend Chris Cornell would be on display starting next month at Seattle's Museum of Pop Culture.

The sculpture was commissioned by Cornell's wife Vicky, who donated the sculpture to the museum. Sculptor Nick Marra was recruited by Vicky after she saw his work sculpting the likeness of late actor Anton Yelchin. Yelchin and Cornell are buried 40 feet away from each other, and Vicky struck a conversation up with Anton's mother who recommended Marra.

Marra has spoken to TMZ and given them a first look at the Cornell sculpture. The bronze statue showcases one of Cornell's signature poses with his boots, dog tags and hair on display. Take a look:

TMZ notes the statue, which was a bit of a rush job, set back the Cornells around $200k. View all the photos of the statue over at TMZ.
