In a shocking statement this morning, Kid Rock said he was not running for Senate. Whuuuuuuuut???
You might recall, Kid Rock began to oh-so-subtly tease a senatorial run, despite Rock not officially filing any paperwork about running for Senate in Michigan as his two songs promoting that fact claimed. He even gave a stump speech at a recent live gig, but it was all for show.
Rock appeared on The Howard Stern Show and shocked the nation by saying  "Fuck no, I’m not running for Senate. Are you kidding me? Who couldn’t figure that out? I’m releasing a new album. I’m going on tour too." Yes, who couldn't have figured that out?
Rock also noted that people who "were in on the joke" started taking the run seriously, but he quickly rebuffed "no, we’re not doing it, but let’s roll with it for a while." America thanks you.
Rock instead announced a new album, Sweet Southern Sugar, scheduled to be released on Nov. 3. He also has some new tour dates, in case you want to get a friend a white elephant gift for the holidays:
