BLACK SABBATH Reunite With Drummer Bill Ward… To Accept An Award

It's the reunion everybody's been waiting for. After some bitter back and forth between drummer Bill Ward and Ozzy Osbourne, Ward was finally in the same room as other members of the band.

Black Sabbath were honored with the Lifetime Achievement award at this year's Ivor Novello Awards at London, England's Grosvenor House earlier today. Present to accept the award were guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and the aforementioned Bill Ward. Ozzy was not present for the ceremony, which surely would have made things a little awkward between him and Ward after Ozzy repeatedly called Ward fat and out of shape. Here is a photo of Iommi, Ward and Butler after accepting the award:

The only notable comment made during their acceptance speech was Iommi confirming one final tour and album next year.

Perhaps this is the start of a reconciliation or perhaps this is just a one-off fluke. Either way, a much deserved moment of recognition for the godfathers of heavy metal!
