Another week, another great Dave Mustaine quote. Mustaine has been out on the Rockstar Mayhem Fest and has been giving interviews to various outlets all over the country, at least when he's in a good mood. Frank, while conducting interviews for our Ask The Artist series, even witness first-hand Mustaine's lack of interest in interviews, when mid-interview, he grabbed the reporter's question sheet, said they were dumb and he just got up and left. Go Mustaine!
Anyway, he seemed pretty talkative in a recent interview with this local Dallas radio station and he dropped an interesting tidbit about working with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich:
Mustaine: "I've talked to Lars and James about me and David [Ellefson, MEGADETH bassist] doing a supergroup record with Lars and James. Well, James said 'no,' but it's still kind of out there in the air. I'm gonna keep hammering on him. It's on my bucket list."
Bahahahaha! Translation: Mustaine was all like "Come on guys, lets jam… like the old days" and Jaymz was all like "uhh no, I deal with Lars already, now you expect me to deal with two psychos? I'm just pretending to like you for the press." Oh, what I would give to be a fly in the room of the studio where these guys would jam were this to ever happen. I bet within 2 hours the band would be caput. Within those two hours, Ellefson would most likely not even say a word.
