Disturbed has recently been releasing a series of singles in promotion of their upcoming record Evolution due out on October 19. If you've been paying close attention to the band's promo photography they've been using for the record, you might've noticed that frontman David Draiman is missing his signature chin piercings.
In a recent with Deutsche Welle, Draiman says he had them removed because they were a pain in the butt and they made him feel like a Hot Topic kid from the early 2000s.
"They're kind of a pain in the butt, to be honest. It just felt kind of weird walking around like a 45-year-old Hot Topic kid. I just felt it was time."
It's actually a little amazing how different, almost mature, Draimain looks without the piercings and the goatee. Dude finally got out of his nü metal phase in 2018, but hey – at least he did it.
If you haven't been keeping up with Evolution, the latest single was actually pretty decent.
