Here's something I didn't think I'd write about today: beastiality.
As I was perusing the day's top stories on other news sites, I happened upon this story of U.K. veterinarian Oliver Lown who recently lost his license after videos were found of him having sex with dogs and horses. Oddly, that's not what stuck out about the story for me. What stuck out was the photo: this dude loves him some progressive metal, more specifically Dream Theater.
According to this BBC report, there was not enough evidence to charge him of beastiality but the U.K. veterinary board has stripped him of his license due to his "abuse of animals and a total lack of respect for their welfare ." Apparently, Lown loves him some animal porn because he was found guilty in 2012 of seven charges "relating to the possession of extreme images involving people and animals, for which he was given a conditional discharge." Jeez.
So yes, two days and two stories about Dream Theater shirts. What a world (and a slow news day).
Update: While he had a love for prog metal, turns out Oliver played in a skate punk band that, not surprisingly, kicked him out as soon as they heard the news:
