Wacken Open Air had a difficult 2023, but they're coming back in 2024 anyway! Wacken Open Air 2024 will take place between July 31 and August 3, and will include the following first wave of bands:

"It hurts a lot to know that part of our metal family could not join the party," said organizer Holger Hübner of the 2023 edition. "But, unfortunately, this step was unavoidable for the festival to take place at all. The real heroes and heroines of the W:O:A are those who had to stay at home or turn back."
"We are all the more happy that this year's Wacken Open Air turned into a remarkable experience with countless goosebump moments, terrific concerts and an breathtaking sense of community," added co-organizer Thomas Jensen. "The great solidarity in our scene and far beyond fills us with gratitude."
Tickets for the 2024 edition will be available here this week… or keep an eye out for them, anyway. The festival already friggin' sold out.
