AS I LAY DYING Officially Drop Off KILLSWITCH ENGAGE Tour; DARKEST HOUR & THE WORD ALIVE Hop On

Well, you knew this was coming. With As I Lay Dying frontman, Tim Lambesis being held in a San Diego jail facing charges of soliciting murder, there was no way he would making it out to Killswitch's tour kicking off at the end of this month. The rest of the band announced today in a statement that it'd be best if the band sit out the tour:

“To our fans,

In light of recent events, As I Lay Dying will unfortunately not be taking part in the upcoming tour with Killswitch Engage. Given the circumstances, we feel that it is best for the band to be off the road while the current situation gets sorted. We’d like to thank all of our fans for their ongoing support at this difficult time.

-Jordan, Nick, Phil, and Josh”

Not a surprising statement from the band at all. With that news out in the open, Killswitch Engage officially announced As I Lay Dying's replacements:

“Since As I Lay Dying has announced they will not be able to join us on this tour…we would like to welcome Darkest Hour, and The Word Alive on the Disarm the Descent 2013 US TOUR!

Please welcome both bands with open arms, ROCK!”

The bands made the best of the situation. Darkest Hour is quite the suitable replacement and The Word Alive is a nice bonus for fans. Miss May I and Affiance will also be on the tour. Here is the tour routing:
