X Japan's appearance at Coachella is getting more and more interesting as the days go by. X Japan originally announced they'd be rejoined by drummer Yoshiki, who bowed out of the band's live performances in May 2017 after emergency surgery last May to replace a cervical vertebral disc. Then it was announced Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland would be performing with the band and that holograms of former members Hide (who passed in 1998) and Taiji (who passed in 2011) would be present as well.
Now to add an extra layer of crazy to the whole thing is Marilyn Manson, who has announced he'll also be taking the stage with the band. It's also worth noting that X Japan is currently working on their first studio album since 1996, so keep an eye out for that as well. No word on if Borland or Manson will be on it, but we're kind of hoping they are.
I never thought I would play at a festival I was banned from. But… Yoshiki invited me to join the stage with XJAPAN. You don’t want to miss this one
