Ok, this sounds insane. Phil Anselmo, Max Cavalera and Anthrax frontman Joey Belladonna are part of the lineup for the 2013 Metal All-Stars tour. That's the great news. The band news: It's only hitting South America.
Well bad news if you're not South American that is. The tour will happen in November, but no dates have been announced yet. Here is the initial lineup:
Philip Anselmo (PANTERA, DOWN)
Joey Belladonna (ANTHRAX)
Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, SEPULTURA)
Udo Dirkschneider (U.D.O., ACCEPT)
Brian Fair (SHADOWS FALL)
Jon Donais (ANTHRAX, SHADOWS FALL)
Matt Bachand (SHADOWS FALL)
Jasin Todd (SHINEDOWN)
Aaron Rossi (MINISTRY)
I assume the bands will play covers from all of their respective bands as well as some others for fun. It'll probably be one giant jam session. Proceeds from the tour will be contributed to the Ride For Dime charity foundation.
So seriously, why won't this be happening in America?
