"Howdy y'all. This is Steven Funderburk from you guessed it – Wretched," said guitarist Steven Funderburk at the time. "We know that y'all been wanting albums. We know that y'all been wanting singles. I've been reading all them forums and them Facebook groups and whatnot, and seeing what y'all saying on the YouTubes. Y'all been looking for new music. Y'all looking for singles, looking for instrumentals. We get it. We got it.
"Well I went out and bought a buncha amps and I guess we're gonna use 'em and write some new tunes and songs for y'all. I want y'all to know Wretched's. Ain't fuckin' around this time."
Wretched as a band had a slightly less funny comment on the signing, saying: "It is with great excitement that we announce the official return of Wretched! We've signed on with Metal Blade Records and we're both eager to bring new material to you. Stay tuned."
