Has it rally only been two years since Alcest released Shelter? It feels like that record was released forever ago, but that might because I listened to it incessantly until I couldn't listen to it anymore. Which is probably what I'll be doing on September 30 all over again, when the band releases its new album Kodama.
The album is due out via Prophecy Records, and according to a press release it'll echo the band's landmork Écailles de lune album from 2010. So that's a pretty big expectation to live up to, right? Either way, you can pre-order the album right here and check out the artwork for it done by the French duo Førtifem below.
Oh, I guess it's also worth noting that the album is only six tracks long. So I'd assume we're in for either some sort of epic, or every song on this album is just long.
