ALICE COOPER Is Working On Two "Entirely Different" Rock Albums

Featuring Nita Strauss in some capacity.

Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper is pretty much out on the road until this April, but he's still finding time to write a ton of new music. According to Cooper in an interview with Trunk Nation, he and his band are working on two "entirely different kinds" of rock albums. Cooper assured Trunk Nation that the albums are indeed "pure rock n' roll albums," with one being completely done and the second being written.

“I’m working on two albums right now. One is… totally written, and we’ll be doing bed tracks for that one pretty soon. The other one is just a touch in the future, but that’s being written right now too … They're two entirely different kinds of albums, but they're Alice Cooper, pure rock n' roll albums. The two albums will really be hard rock albums."

All we know so far is that some (or all) of the new material will feature guitarist Nita Strauss, has been a part of Alice Cooper's live band since 2014.

"I actually have a call with [Alice Cooper's management] this weekend to discuss the progress of it," Strauss said in a previous interview. "The last that I heard, we were in Nashville working on it. The band and I sat down and recorded quite a bit of music for this upcoming record. The band did also have a huge part in the writing this time, which is the first time that's happened in the eight years that I've been in the band. So it was really, really fun — really exciting for us to get to work with a legend like Bob Ezrin. [It was] a huge, huge honor to be in the studio with him and Alice creating what we hope will be some more Alice Cooper music to just add to his legacy."

"I'm on the live DVD. I'm on the live album releases, the live tracks that are bonus tracks and stuff, but [this is my] first studio album with Alice. I'm actually the only person in the band that hasn't recorded anything with Alice before, so this is huge for me. [I'm] very, very honored."
