Now that he's done being a movie star, Johan Hegg is back at his day job, which is recording new music with Amon Amarth. The band are mostly on a two-year cycle for albums, so they seem due for a new one, seeing as though their previous release, Deceiver of the Gods came out in 2013.
Writing has just begun, according to a series of tweets from Hegg, who wrote:
Going to a cabin in the woods w the guys this week to write and rehearse. Could be very productive or very frustrating! :-) @AmonAmarthBand

Could we see a release by the end of the year? I feel like early 2016 is probably more likely, seeing as though they're just starting to write and haven't even begun recording, but we'll keep you posted.
