Amorphis has officially entered Fascination Street Studios with Jens Bogren (Katatonia, Ne Obliviscaris, etc.) to begin working on the follow up to 2015's Under The Red Cloud. This will be the band's first album without bassist and vocalist Niclas Etelävuori, who played with Amorphis from 2000 to 2017.
In his place, it looks like Barren Earth bassist Olli-Pekka Laine has stepped in. Olli-Pekka Laine played briefly with Amorphis in 2010 and has only been the band's live bassist since Etelävuori's departure. As of right now, Laine isn't officially in the band, but who knows? Dude's in the studio with them.
