It'll have been four years since Catacombs of the Black Vatican in 2018, but Black Label Society doesn't plan on going on much longer without a new album. According to an interview with Zakk Wylde on Full Metal Jackie, Black Label Society has finished up a new album, which will come out at some point in 2018.
In between the breaks and in between my nail appointments, the shaving of my legs, we’ve actually made another Black Label album. So that’ll be coming out in the new year. We gotta pick our spots where we want to put records in there. So the whole thing is, we were in The Black Vatican, we made another album so that’ll be coming out in the new year and then the Black Label Armada will start rolling in the new year.
I'd imagine this has something to do with Wylde's semi-busy schedule with Ozzy Osbourne, though BLS has generally taken four years between albums since 2010's Order of the Black anyway.
This will be the band's first album with guitarist Dario Lorina and drummer Jeff Fabb, who was also in the band between 2012 and 2013.
