Death Angel drummer Will Carroll recently revealed to Exodus vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza in an interview with Zetro's Toxic Vault that Death Angel is plotting a new album. While that's great and I'm excited to hear what the band comes up with, I'm also very glad that Carroll seems to be doing well after damn near dying from COVID-19 in 2020.
"We're gonna record a new album this year, for sure," said Carroll. "We're working on new songs right now. We've got a couple of new tunes in the works, and they sound good, and we're moving forward with that… We're gonna hopefully hit the studio by the end of summer. I think that's a reasonable amount of time to get an album written. But, yeah, things are sounding awesome. Rob's coming up with some killer shit."
Death Angel also surprise released a digital EP titled Under Pressure featuring a cover of Queen's collaboration with David Bowie "Under Pressure", a new song called "Faded Remains", and re-imaginings of the band's own "A Room With A View" and "Revelation Song". Check that out here.
