Black metal fans rejoice; Deathspell Omega, in their typical low-key, don't-explicitly-mention-this-to-anyone style, have just revealed Drought as the name of their upcoming EP (it was really less of an announcement, more of 'the product appeared in the Season of Mist e-shop') The EP is set for a June 22nd release date, and you can pre-order it here. If you're familiar with the band (and you should be), you know exactly what you're in for; some of the most genre-bending, mind-fucking, wildly extreme music in recent memory. Paracletus, the conclusion to a trilogy of monumental albums, was without question one of my favorite albums of 2010. I'm incredibly eager to hear what they've conjured up next.
