Exhumed hasn't exactly hit the studio for a new album – they built the studio. Exhumed recently completed work on their new studio Darker Corners and are now recording in it with producer Alejandro Corredor (Brujeria, Nausea). The effort will be mixed and mastered by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust), and will be the first Exhumed record to feature guitarist Sebastian Phillips (Noisem).
According to frontman Matt Harvey, the new record will melt faces.
"This album has been a challenge in a whole new way; part construction project, part trial-and-error crash-course, and part deathgrinding madness. The deathgrinding part has been going really well, and we're really focusing on bringing out the aggression of these tunes. The goal is to leave no face un-melted."
Exhumed will also tour Mexico and South America next week with Beyond Creation before hitting up the West Coast for a few additional dates.
