High On Fire is working on the long-awaited follow-up to their 2018 record Electric Messiah. In a new video from Revolver going over some of the best High On Fire, frontman Matt Pike reveals the band is working on some new music. The new High On Fire record will be the first with drummer Coady Willis (Big Business, etc.), who joined the group in 2021 after the departure of founding drummer Des Kensel in 2019.
High On Fire is currently booked for the inaugural Hell In The Harbor festival alongside bands like Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, and Napalm Death. You can also catch High On Fire bassist Jeff Matz on the new Mutoid Man album, whenever that gets announced.
Speaking of Matz, he'll be selling off some of his personal High On Fire collection soon to benefit the people of Turkey and Syria. That area of the world was recently hit by an earthquake which has left over 22,000 people dead.
"Dear friends, I will be selling some of my personal musical equipment as well as some of my limited edition High On Fire vinyl, posters and memorabilia to raise funds for humanitarian relief efforts in Türkiye and Syria," said Matz. "I will be posting some items for sale on my social media accounts in the coming days. 100% of the proceeds from these sales will go to aid groups. And if you would like to make a donation, you can find links to some trusted aid organizations in my bio. Thanks in advance and best wishes to you all."
