High On Fire has made it well known they've been working on a new album, but High On Fire guitarist and vocalist Matt Pike isn't stopping there.
Pike is now recording a solo album, which will at the very least feature High On Fire bassist Jeff Matz playing the Turkish instrument bağlama. No further information is available, but given Pike's pretty extensive reach within the genre, I'd guess there will probably be some other great names attached to this. That, or Pike is about to show us a new side of himself largely on his own? Either way, I'm stoked!
