Korn is working on the follow-up to their 2022 album Requiem. According to guitarist Brian "Head" Welch in an interview with The Joe Kingdom Perspective, there's "new music coming out next year. I don't know. We're just kind of in hiding right now, just doing our own thing."
Which is great news, but it brings up one question that fans still don't have an answer to – is bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu still in the band, and will he play on the new record? Fieldy went on hiatus from Korn in 2021, and while he still played on Requiem, it's unknown what the deal is now nearly two years later.
Fieldy issued an update in October 2022, saying he and his Korn bandmates are on good terms, but they're just in different places at the moment and have "no beef" with one another. Korn themselves haven't said much about Fieldy's absence lately, so who knows. If Fieldy ends up not playing on the next record, it'll be the first-ever Korn record without him.
Korn has since employed Ra Díaz as their live bassist.
