We've been talking about a new Cynic record for what feels like years, but it looks like we might be getting one soon enough!
Cynic guitarist and vocalist Paul Masvidal posted the below picture to his Instagram showing both he and vocalist Amy Correia in the studio recording something called Channeling Light Language. Masvidal tagged Cynic in the post, and it's also worth noting that Correia provided vocals on the Traced in Air, Re-Traced, and Carbon-Based Anatomy. So the pieces are certainly there for this to be a Cynic effort.
This conversation also brings up the unpleasant topic of who might've performed on the record. Bassist Sean Malone sadly passed away late last year, and who knows if he recorded his parts prior.
