MEGADETH Launches New Website With Snippet Of New Music

The sick, the dying, and the dead are coming.

Last week Megadeth posted a mysterious photo to their Instagram account with the date of June 23. Of course we all assumed this meant new Megadeth was coming, and now the band has pretty much confirmed that. Megadeth has launched a new website called sickdyingdead.com (named after the coming record The Sick, The Dying And The Dead) where you can hear a brief snippet of a new song. So y'know, it's time to get excited.

Mustaine recently revealed in an interview with Jose Mangin of SiriusXM Liquid Metal that the new album features bass parts by Steve Di Giorgio of Testament (not LoMenzo) in place of Ellefson. Ellefson was fired from Megadeth back in May 2021 after a highly-publicized sexual affair and was removed from the album. Megadeth has also officially welcomed James LoMenzo as their permanent new bassist. LoMenzo has been filling in with Megadeth live ever since the departure of Ellefson, and was previously in the band between 2006 and 2010.

Megadeth will hit the road as openers for Five Finger Death Punch later this year at one of the dates below.Advertisement. Scroll to continue reading.
