Now that their summer tour is postponed, Megadeth is focusing all their energy on recording a new album.
Speculation of Megadeth recording their new album started earlier this month when vocalist Dave Mustaine posted a photo of himself recording vocals at home. Now that speculation has turned to confirmation, as bassist David Ellefson told The Rock N Ragni Show that he's "gonna be going to Nashville later this week to get started recording the Megadeth album."
Considering this interview took place earlier in the week, new Megadeth might be being recorded right now!
Bassist David Ellefson recently said the new record is "heavy. There's a lot of really fast thrashing stuff. And a lot of it is that the vibe is — it feels very cohesive between the four of us." Which is very in line with what we've heard the band tease in the past.
The new Megadeth album will be their first with guitarist Kiko Loureiro (ex-Angra) and drummer Dirk Verbeuren (ex-Soilwork, ex-Aborted, Cadaver).
