Last week, we reported The Melvins were going to be releasing a new album at some point this year, but no we've learned it's going to be a pretty interesting double album!
The album is titled A Walk With Love And Death and will be out on July 7 via Ipecac Recordings. The first disc is titled Death and is a traditional Melvins album featuring Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and Steve McDonald, and the second disc is titled Love, which acts as a soundtrack to the film also titled A Walk With Love And Death directed by Jesse Neiminen.
The album features guests Joey Santiago (The Pixies), Teri Gender Bender (Le Butcherettes), and Anna Waronker (That Dog), and is "one giant, dark, moody, psychotic head trip," according to Crover. So are you ready?
