After months of lawsuits, drama and smack talk, former Mötley CrĂ¼e guitarist Mick Mars will release his first single as a solo artist on Halloween. Limited details are currently known about the release but Eddie Trunk posted the following to his social media:
"Pleased to announce that I will be bringing you the world premier of the first ever solo music from @mrmickmars on #trunknation ! I'll debut the song 10/30, Mick will join me for an interview 10/31! @SIRIUSXM 103 Faction Talk @TrunkNationSXM . 3P ET".
The new album is called Another Side of Mars. Hopefully Mars' conversation with Trunk will answer some more questions for us, namely a release date and what any live plans might look like. Earlier this year, Mars said that he wouldn't tour the album but would be open to select one-off dates.
"I'm done touring. If somebody really, really wants a one-off, or a couple of nights, I would probably do it. But all that travel stuff and planes … I'm way over it."
Earlier this year, Carmine Appice suggested that Mars would do some dates and he'd like to accompany the guitarist on drums.
"He said he's gonna do a solo album and go out and do some gigs," said Appice. "I said, 'Look, if you need anyone to play drums, I'll play with you.' He goes, 'That would be great.' So maybe I'll do some gigs with him. But it's not gonna be big tours. It'll be a weekend maybe somewhere and then go home. Two weekends later maybe a weekend and go home."
