Mutoid Man is in the studio with producer Kurt Ballou for their first record in five years, and first with High On Fire bassist Jeff Matz who stepped in after now-ex-bassist Nicholas Cageao left the band in 2020. All we know so far is that there's a new song the band played live called "Call Of The Void" at Psycho Las Vegas 2020 that rips big time. But according to drummer Ben Koller, the new record is also heavy as a really heavy thing.
"@mutoidman studio update: 3 days pre-production rehearsal, 1 day setting up, 1 depressing snow day, 1 day of tracking 2 songs, 1 dead mouse, lots of Goldeneye and some puffy chicken fingers in a pear tree. This album rips already. I can't even handle the heaviness of some of it."
Look. I think what I'm really getting at here is that (at least I personally) need this new Mutoid Man record in my life as soon as humanly possible.
