Mutoid Man will hit the studio with Kurt Ballou at God City Studio this month for their first record in five years. The new record will also be Mutoid Man's first with High On Fire bassist Jeff Matz, who stepped in after now-ex-bassist Nicholas Cageao left the band in 2020.
"In January 2015 @mutoidman headed to @godcitymusic studio to record Bleeder, their first full-length album released on June 30, 2015 through @sargenthouse," said Mutoid Man record label Sargent House in an Instagram post. "We are delighted to announce they are returning this month to God City and will be recording their next and third album for Sargent House to come in 2022 with new bass player @jeffmatz_bass."
