Nile has been working on a new album throughout pretty much all of 2018 and frontman Karl Sanders said that it could potentially be out by the year's end. Unfortunately in an interview with MMTV Metal MadTV, Sanders says the album is out in 2019. He adds that the band didn't play anything new at their appearance at Hellfest because the new songs aren't quite there yet, but says the Hellfest appearance is their last until the new album is done.
"We only have six songs ready, but they're not a hundred percent ready. So we didn't wanna [play] something [at Hellfest that is] not finished. I think everybody has to wait for next year, when the album is gonna be out."
The new album will be Nile's first with Brian Kingsland who replaced Dallas Toler-Wade in 2017. The only other Nile album without Toler-Wade is Nile's 1998 debut.
