Rammstein are having a busy year. They have a round of days in the United States this summer and they've been working on new material. Back in March, Rammstein guitarist Richard Kruspe said the band had about 35 songs written for a followup to 2009’s Liebe Ist Für Alle Da.
Now in a new interview with Metal Hammer, Kruspe says the band is just waiting on vocalist Till Lindemann to finish up the material, which he adds is "mysterious."
"It really depends on our singer Till, that he can finish the mysterious ideas we have. At the moment we have 30 ideas, some with lyrics, and some not. We’re working on the vocals, and then we might consider another producer. There’s all those question marks that we haven’t answered yet."
Later on in the interview, Kruspe says the goal "is to write really good songs and maybe even try unusual methods, new ideas, and change the path that one usually has." So who knows what the new Rammstein album will sound like? This is a band that's eight years out from its previous release, so who knows what Rammstein 2017 will sound like.
