The metal world was stunned when Rigor Mortis guitarist Mike Scaccia collapsed on stage and eventually passed away at the age of 47. It was quite the bummer, because the band was readying their first new album in over 20 years.
But the band promised to release the album as a tribute to Mike, and now we have some more info. The band announced their new album will be called Slaves to the Grave and it will be self-released on October 7th featuring the original lineup of the aforementioned Scacia on guitar, Bruce Corbitt (vocals), Casey Orr (bass) and Harden Harrison (drums). The band is self-releasing because of inability to secure a label deal since there would be no touring done with the absence of Mike.
We'll keep you posted as to when the band will be releasing some new music from this, their final album.
