Soilwork had drummer Dirk Verbeuren in their lineup from 2004 to 2016, at which point Verbeuren left the band to join some little-known thrash band called Megadeth. Verbeuren recommended drummer Bastian Thusgaard as his replacement, which made tons of sense considering Thusgaard was also Verbeuren's drum student. Now Soilwork is in the studio recording what'll become their eleventh album overall, and their first album with Thusgaard.
The band is recording at Nordic Sound Lab with Thomas "Plec" Johansson, who has produced bands like Solution .45 and Miseration, and mastered Soilwork's 2016 compilation Death Resonance.
