Sumac formed in 2014 and has since released The Deal in 2015 and What One Becomes In 2016. Considering 2017 is a year in which Sumac has not released new material, the band has announced it's in the studio rectifying that issue as we speak. Whether or not the album will make it out in 2017 is entirely unclear right now, but considering how damn good Sumac is, we're really hoping it does.
Sumac is guitarist and vocalist Aaron Turner (ex-Isis), drummer Nick Yacyshyn (Baptists), and bassist Brian Cook (Russian Circles).
