Carnifex has announced it's in the studio, recording a new album due out at some point this summer. The band is currently holed up at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, FL, with Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, DevilDriver) at the helm for mixing, as well as one of the producers being Jason Suecof (Trivium, All That Remains).
Now here's the interesting bit — Mick Kenney, frontman of Anaal Nathrakh, will also be producing the record. I wonder how Carnifex and Kenney know each other? More importantly, will there be a Kenney guest spot? Most albums could benefit from a little added Kenney madness.
I guess we'll know soon enough.
