TROUBLE Is Recording Their First New Album Since 2013

Their second with Exhorder vocalist Kyle Thomas.

Trouble

Trouble has begun recording their first new album since The Distortion Field in 2013. The record will be Trouble's second with Exhorder vocalist Kyle Thomas behind the microphone, and first with bassist Rob Hultz who joined the band in 2013. Trouble's label Hammerheart Records notes that the band originally planned to record new music in the summer of 2020, which of course didn't happen for obvious reasons.

Thomas mentioned in a 2019 interview with The Metal Magdalene With Jet (via Blabbermouth) that he's excited to have been part of the writing process for the new record, instead of being handed music written for previous vocalist Kory Clarke. "This time they've actually written songs with me in mind as the singer instead of, 'These songs were written when Kory Clarke was in the band, but that didn't work out, so let's give it to Kyle and have him back-cleanup,' I guess."

In the meantime, check out the recent compilation reissue of both Trouble's 2007 EP Unplugged and 1994 demo One For The Road. A good handful of Trouble's material is currently available here on Bandcamp as Hammerheart Records continues to reissue the band's 40+ years career.
