Irish back metal band Altar of Plagues just premiered a new video via Pitchfork.com for a song off their forthcoming album Teethed Glory and Injury. The song is titled "God Alone" and was directed by Altar of Plagues frontman James Kelly and Patrick O'Mahony. There's not much to the video beyond black and white footage of people writhing around and some triangles, but it's still visually compelling.
The purpose of the video is to explore the possibilities and limits of the human body through a series of expressive movements, but I'm sure many of you will write this off as artsy hipster crap. Even if that's the case, give the video a chance if only for the music…which is really, REALLY good. Teethed Glory and Injury is set for release on April 30th on Profound Lore Records.
