Cattle Decapitation recently released an incredibly timely music video for the song "Bring Back the Plague," which sees the band reacting to the current quarantine situation. The band were featured on Swedish channel 4's morning talk show, during a segment with journalist Fredrik Strage called "Strage Tips." Based on what I can make out, the segment highlights music videos dealing with the quarantine.
At around the five minute mark (closer to 5:05), Cattle Decap's video is feautred and the hosts are… thrilled. If anybody reading this speaks Swedish and feels like giving us a translation, drop it in the comments. Congrats to Cattle Decap on the international press!
Update:Â Thanks to Ponlarsson in the comments for transcribing:
Fredrik Strage: There's an american band called Cattle Decapitation that plays grindcore. This is their logo, which is very hard to read, which means that the music is incredible brutal. They are animal rights activists and believes that humanity deserves to be pained as much as humanity has pained the animals. Some weeks before christmas and before the corona virus, they released an album called "Death Atlas", which has a song called "Bring back the plague". And they eventually got what they wanted. But I think they're regretting themselves now since their tour was supposed to be called "The Euro Pandemic Tour" and it's now cancelled. The whole band is now in quarantine whre they have filmed a music video for "Bring back the plague". The drummer doesn't have any drums so he has do play on pillows. It sounds like this:
There it goes! It has some footage from springbreak with carefree young people that doesn't care that much about social distancing.
Female host: What do you think about the lyrics?
Fredrik Strage: Most often you have to search for the lyrics since the vocals are very guttural.
