Italian orchestral death metal legends, Fleshgod Apocalypse, have released an outright gem for us today: their interpretation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s "Lacrimosa", taken from his masterpiece Requiem In D Minor.
The stunning vocals of Veronica Bordacchini, coupled with the piano work of Francesco Ferrini, fully capture the drama and sadness of the original Lacrimosa (Latin for “weeping”). Bordacchini’s face during the final moments of the video shows that she is feeling every note of Mozart’s work.
The band commented: “A few months ago, during the lockdown, we recorded a short homage to one of our favourite composers. Things will get back to normal sooner or later… Just hang in there, everybody!”
I recommend bringing some tissues. You can support Fleshgod Apocalypse HERE.
