Beavis and Butt-Head recently returned to us with a new movie called Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe and the promise of a new season. Now that Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe is out, Paramount+ has released the first trailer for the new season and it looks… well, it looks exactly like you'd want Beavis and Butt-Head to look. Crude, vulgar, and dangerously stupid in many ways. Beavis and Butt-Head will begin streaming on August 4.
It was recently confirmed that all remastered past episodes of Beavis And Butt-Head will feature the duo's classic commentary on the music videos of the day. Creator Mike Judge also said in a recent interview with Consequence that the duo will also be reacting to popular YouTube and TikTok videos in both Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe movie and the now-announced new series.
"[YouTube clips and TikTok] just sort of came up," said Judge. "Like, there's just so much to watch. We were limited to [music videos] on MTV, but the world is cluttered with so much video now. Now, whatever the demographic that was watching music videos [in the '90s] is probably watching this kind of TikTok stuff. And we all watch YouTube." Judge later joked that it's "harder than it looks to write Beavis and Butt-Head because they're so dumb," but mentioned that he's very happy with how the 2022 version of the duo came out.
All new Beavis And Butt-Head is written, directed, and voiced by original creator Mike Judge.
