Insomnium's music has never been super happy summertime jams, and this piano rendition of "Ill-Starred Son" only serves to further that point. Stripped of its heaviness and arranged for solo piano, the track takes on a frosty, almost adventurously somber mood to it. Like a theme for a chanracter in a game or movie who knows they're going to die… so y'know, really cheery stuff.
