Metal Allegiance, that group consisting of Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, Testament‘s guitarist Alex Skolnick and ex-Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, sounds like it's going to be amazing. The group's debut album will be out on September 18 via Nuclear Blast Records and is definitely going to feature a lot of awesome guests.
So far we get to hear the opening track, featuring Lamb of God vocalist Randall Blythe and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt, and it's a ripper! I think this might be the best thing Portnoy has done since Dream Theater… and then some.
