Pakistan's TAKATAK Showcase Their Progressive Metalcore in Captivating "Fault Lines" Music Video

Featuring Keshav Dhar of Skyharbor

From Lahore in Pakistan, Takatak is a progressive metal/djent band consisting of Ali Suhail (vocals), Altamash Sever (vocals), Luke Azariah (guitar/synth), Zain Peerzada (guitar), Isa Najam (bass), Yusuf Ramay (drums), and Daud Ramay (drums). Yep, you read that correctly. Two drummers! If Melvins or King Crimson can host multiple percussionists, then the djent scene deserves some double drum love too. The group are set to release their debut full-length album titled Acrophase this year. Australian engineer/producer Ermin Hamidovic, known for his work with Plini, Periphery, and Ola Englund, took the helm on mastering the LP.

We're excited to be premiering the album's first single, "Fault Lines." Not only does the track boast the act's rhythmical grooves right off the bat, but we also see their versatility, shape-shifting from heavy breakdowns to melodic, subdued sections. Besides the band's impressive prowess showcased, guest guitarists Keshav Dhar (Skyharbor) and Shamsher Rana mold the composition into a catchier and more cohesive song. Check out the music video for "Fault Lines" now.
