The last few years have seen some metal experimentation with the sitar, most notably with Rishabh Seen, who released sitar-based covers of Animals As Leaders, and Meshuggah, and eventually his own full-length album of sitar-led heavy metal from his band Mute The Saint.
Now, Rob Scallon is taking a crack at the sitar, releasing a pretty sweet jam, which features the stringed instrument as the lead. Scallon always delivers a unique take on any instrument he plays. Here are some of his past videos:
