System of a Down vocalist Serj Tankian promised a new rock song today, and he delivered! Tankian is now streaming his new song "Elasticity" off the EP of the same name due out on March 19.
The song was originally written with System of a Down in mind, but when the band decided not to make a new album, Tankian took it upon himself to release the songs he wrote.
"When I conceived possibly doing another record with the guys from System of a Down a few years back, I started working on a set of songs that I arranged in rock format for that purpose. As we weren’t able to see eye to eye on the vision going forward with an SOAD album, I decided to release these songs under my moniker."
