Wild and crazy New Jersey trio The Atomic Bitchwax brought their stoner grooves to the Freak Valley Festival at Rockpalast in Germany yesterday, and attendees were treated to a high-energy set that could only be mustered up by TAB. You can catch the entire performance above.
The set opened with a cover of Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" which went thumping straight into "Hope You Die," the opening salvo from TAB's 2020 LP, Scorpio. Other highlights from the set include "Forty-Five," "Kiss the Sun," "Giant," and the sludge-pumping fury of "War Claw" which bassist/vocalist Chris Kosnik noted is one of two songs the band has written about Kung Fu. Alrighty then!
The band wrapped the hour long set with a "Frankenstein" refrain, after which a very grateful Kosnik took a photo of the crowd, as they were reminded to "party their ass off" for the rest of the day. By the looks of it, the crowd obliged!
