The Sword went on hiatus in 2018 due to, and I quote, "there were half as many people at [shows]." Guitarist Kyle Shutt has since gone on to begin his new solo career, where he's taking that term literally and doing everything for his upcoming record. Shutt will release his self-titled debut record on May 6 and is streaming the debut single "Big City" alongside a party-esque music video.
