Dave Mustaine Says There's A MEGADETH Game Coming With New Music

Well unused riffs, but tomato/tomato, right?

Well unused riffs, but tomato/tomato, right?

Megadeth's Dave Mustaine visited the New York Stock Exchange on September 15, and was subsequently interviewed by the establishment. Mustaine tells the interviewer that Megadeth is about to embark on its tour with Scorpions, and then it'll be focusing its energies mostly into doing a new album. He adds that despite the contract being up with the record label once this next album is turned in, he doesn't see an end in sight for the band like he's previously stated he might.

Oh, and Mustaine says he's also working on a Megadeth-themed video game that'll have some new music in it! Well, unused riffs, but you haven't heard them and therefore is new music.

"We're gonna do this tour with the Scorpions, then we have a run down in South America. And then we're gonna take time off — the tour is over — and get ready to do the next record. I'm working on a video game that encompasses a lot of the band's history and a lot of little riffs that we've never used before, stuff like that, and just prepare for the next tour, next campaign. We owe our record label one more record, so we, at least, are gonna be doing one more record. I don't see the end in sight for us, because the band's getting along really well right now, and we're playing great."

So at least one more album and a video game! Hooray! This will also be the band's first album with ex-Soilwork drummer Dirk Veurbeuren, which means it'll probably be batshit insanity to the extreme.
