IRON MAIDEN's "The Number of the Beast" and DRAGONFORCE's "Through the Fire and Flames" are among the latest confirmed tracks for the upcoming Activision title Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
According to GameSpy, since the release of the first Guitar Hero game, DRAGONFORCE has consistently been one of the most requested bands from hardcore players, and will likely be the toughest song in the Guitar Hero series to date; thankfully, including it as a bonus song means it won't prevent anyone from completing the normal campaign.
As we've previously reported, former GUNS N' ROSES and current VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash will provide an original track for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, as well as make an appearance in-game as a boss battle character. The legendary guitarist will not, however, be easy to get to: In order to "unlock" Slash (who donned a motion-capture suit so game makers could track his every pluck), players will have to face him in a one-on-one shredding duel after completing all the songs in the game.
