Let It Die is an upcoming survival/hack and slash game available for free download on Playstation 4. The game will be released at some point this year, and was produced by Goichi Suda. You might know Suda from titles such as Moonlight Syndrome, The Silver Case, Killer7, and the No More Heroes series, so that's likely enough of a reason to be curious about the game.
Another interesting bit is that Akira Yamaoka, who was responsible for the Silent Hill 2 and Shadows of the Damned soundtracks, has reached out to literally 100+ Japanese rock and metal artists to help him craft the game's soundtrack. MetalSucks points out that Maximum The Hormone isn't a part of the project, which is minor amounts of bullshit, but we're still curious nonetheless.
Here's the synopsis of the game.
In the year 2026 AD, a large tectonic disturbance occurred causing mass destruction around the world. South Western Tokyo split off into the ocean and became an island covered by a deep fog.
Continuous seismic activity then caused a large spire to rise out of the ocean through the island creating a tower-like structure that pierces the clouds.
Many mysteries remain hidden from the eyes of mankind await those courageous enough to dare approach the tower…
